The publication by peace brigades international shows the significant insecurity, under which human rights defenders and peace activists work in the country. Mexico still faces impunity, human rights violations and violence, putting human rights defenders at great risk. Especially, the bulletin sets the work by pbi into the context of the government's security strategy, the state of the judicial system and the impact this sitiuation has for human rights defenders.
