Getting prepared for the Voluntary Guidelines on Land?

Context and Actors in the Sierra Leone Land Sector

Sierra Leone is a country where governance, ownership and tenure of land are of high relevance for the livelihood of its population. As the country is pilot country for the international community and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations/FAO to apply the “Voluntary Guidelines for responsible governance of tenure of land, fisheries and forest/VGGT” it is important to understand the local context and to analyze how far local civil society is already informed and prepared to get involved in this and other relevant processes.
