In this book, the slogan “We Come in Peace” represents the powerful commitment of former combatants who decided to reach out to former enemies from the wars in the Western Balkans and take a small step by sharing their experiences and building relationships. Step by step, this group of veterans transformed into peace activists and helped to build a wider network of like-minded people willing to speak out in public and engage in peace education.
