Community Conflict Intervention in the Nuba Mountains. The film presents the context of the Al Farshaya Peace Process and Conference, considered to be the turning point of a long and complex conflict among eight groups from the Nuba Mountains.
The goal of the DED CPS presence in the are was to assist the local partner organization in their conflict transformation and peace building programme with technical input and training. This was achieved through imparting knowledge, skills and accompanying NMIAD peace activities.
DED& 39;s support started with organizing problem solving workshops facilitated by DED/PA; this later resulted in holding the final peace conference in Alfarshaya. DED supported both the peace conference, the exchange visit of women peace groups and further follow up activities.

Main Outputs of the Conference:
-Major tribes signed the peace agreement.
-Three peace committees are in place i.e. women peace group, youth peace group and Elders Peace committee
-There is a youth peace club at the marketplace.
-Women have & 39;coffee for peace& 39; groups which they use to interact with each other and promote peace.

Süd Kordofan, das Einsatzgebiet der Partnerorganisation NMAID, gilt als eine der transitional areas, bei denen noch offen ist, ob sie im Falle der Abspaltung des Südsudan nach dem für 2011 vorgesehenen Referendum dem Norden oder dem Süden zugesprochen werden. Daher Fokussiert sich der Beitrag des  ZFD/DED auf die Förderung eines nachhaltig friedlichen Zusammenlebens in der Region.  Zusammen mit der lokalen Partnerorganisation wird der schwierigen politischen Situation und der Polarisierung den einzelnen Stämmen begegnet. NIMAD will über die Implementierung verschiedener lokaler Friedenskomitees eine stabile Friedenssicherung gewährleisten. Weitere Ziele sind: Capacity Building, Empowerment (insbesondere von Frauen) und die Nutzung des Friedensabkommens von 2005, zwischen dem südsudanesischen Sudanese People´s Liberation Movement (SPLM) und der nordsudanesischen National Congress Party (NCP)  als Instrument für eine partizipative Konfliktbearbeitung. Auf lokaler Ebene sollen Gerichte eine Strafverfolgung erlauben und einer Gewalteskalation entgegenwirken.
Der Film besteht zum großen Teil aus live- Mitschnitten lokaler Konferenzen im Kontext der Friedensförderung und veranschaulicht die enorme Bandbreite unterschiedlicher  Interessengruppen in der Region.
