“Our incentive is peace”
The Peace Radio project was jointly launched in June 2010 by the Resource Centre for Civil Society Groups Association (RCCSGA) and Council of Nationalities (CoN) with the financial and technical support of GIZ’s Civil Peace Service Program (CPS).
The main objective of the program is to enhance the culture of peace among communities within Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Regional State (SNNPR) and with the neighboring communities of Oromiya Regional State (ORS) as well as fostering collaboration among peace actors, particularly between civil society organizations and government institutions. The program focuses on raising public awareness about the culture of peace, conflict prevention and transformation approaches and community experiences. It also promotes and shares best practices in peacebuilding.
